The Flutterby Petite® Blue Heaven Butterfly Bush is a new, non-seeding variety of these popular plants, that grows to just 2 feet tall, and the same size across. Unlike older, larger plants of this group, it will fit in a garden of any size, and still bloom continuously from early summer to the first hard frost. The flower clusters are 2 inches long and contain many small violet-blue flowers. These have a soft honey fragrance, and attract a multitude of butterflies, who feed on their nectar. Children love to watch them coming and going, and this plant will be the center of attention. As the flowers fade, more are produced, and you do not even need to trim old flowers, as they simple shrivel and fade away. This sterile plant produces no seeds, so it can never escape into wild areas, as older types have done. It can even be grown legally in states that have banned most forms of this plant.

  • Colorful small spikes of violet-blue flowers
  • Small shrub for borders, flower beds and rockeries
  • Blooms continuously from early summer to first frost
  • Sterile, non-invasive variety
  • Easily grown and not eaten by deer

Plant your Blue Heaven Butterfly Bush in a sunny place, in ordinary to dry soil. it is quick-growing, and will soon be in full bloom. Once established it is drought resistant and has no significant pests or diseases. Trim in spring by removing weak or crowded branches and cutting back the remaining branches to a strong pair of buds. This plant is not usually eaten by deer, and it can be planted in hot, dry areas too. Now you can enjoy the color, perfume and hordes of butterflies attracted to this bush, without the danger of seeds escaping into the wild, and damaging the natural habitats around you.
